God laid out a picture in Dr Buzzetti's mind of a home where a woman, with an unexpected pregnancy, could find shelter, food, and most of all love. As she set out to make this vision a reality she came to realize that God wanted her to start small in order to reveal how big He is. As a result, So Big was founded. For several years the board of So Big searched for a location to start the Mountain House maternity home . Then, through several events orchestrated by God, New Hope Christian Church learned about the mission of So Big and offered to let So Big use the blue farmhouse they own, next to the church. So Big spent two years remodeling the home and bringing it up to code and then on March 1, 2018 So Big officially opened the doors to the maternity home. During the next 5 1/2 years So Big served 38 women, 21 babies and 16 siblings until closing its doors on November 1, 2023.

The Mountain House Maternity Home was located in Whitestown, IN and housed up to four women and their children. The video to the left explains more of how the maternity home served Boone County while it was operational. As of November 1, 2023 the Mountain House officially closed. So Big is now taking time to seek God's direction for this new chapter as we continue to offer Hope to pregnant women in need.
